The demand for CAPS (Counseling and Psychological Services) clinical services has increased by 30 percent over the last five years. CAPS has a highly trained, expert staff of clinical social workers, counselors, psychologists and psychiatrists. It enjoys an excellent reputation on campus for its crisis work, ongoing clinical service, outreach and training programs, the latter collaborating training with academic departments in the School of Education and the School of Medicine. Even though it is one of the most productive in the Big Ten, CAPS staff are challenged to keep up with demand for service.
