The Sports Capital Journalism Program in the IU School of Liberal Arts at IUPUI teaches students to apply their knowledge of journalism to one of the most high-profile topics today: sports. From investigative reporting to writing on a deadline, students receive the tools they need to become successful storytellers across all communication platforms.

Every year, top journalism students from the School of Liberal Arts  receive full press credentials to cover the year’s biggest sporting events – giving them a chance to report on the best regional, national, and even international competitions alongside professional journalists. These opportunities give students a first-hand experience at being a professional sports journalist, complete with being published by top news outlets, having exclusive access to players and coaches, and networking with other industry professionals.

These students have a chance to prove themselves on the big stage – and it gets them noticed by the best publications and media outlets in the game.

The Sports Capital Journalism Program provides extraordinary students the opportunity to kick start their career in sports journalism -- and we need your help.

Support the future of sports journalism and help us reach our goooooooooooal!
