More Info

What does a normal cell look like?  What are the risk factors before cancer happens? How do we detect and prevent breast cancer? Those are the big picture questions we are looking to answer with your help.

If you believe in our mission, please consider giving a gift to support our research.

All gifts will support the general Komen Tissue Bank fund that allows us to continue our efforts through such activities as purchasing vital supplies, such as needles, for the next tissue collection event coming up on January 21st in Indianapolis. We use a different needle for every tissue donor and need around 125 needles for this Indy event. 6 needles cost approximately $1,000!

Every dollar raised up to $2,000 will be generously matched by The Catherine Peachey Fund, a Member of the Heroes Foundation Family. That means that if you contribute $50 it will become $100 raised in support of the KTB and breast cancer research!

Contributions to the Komen Tissue Bank are processed through the IU Foundation. Gifts to Indiana University are deductible as charitable contributions within the limits of the Internal Revenue Code. Indiana taxpayers are eligible for a 50 percent tax credit for gifts up to $400 on joint returns or $200 on individual returns.
