The Kelley Institute for Social Impact (KISI) is a high-impact, career-focused service-learning office that provides Kelley students the chance to make real, systematic change in nonprofits and small businesses across the state of Indiana, the country, and the globe. Nearly 1 in 8 Kelley undergraduate students participate in a KISI event ranging from the annual Habitat for Humanity Build, sponsored by Whirlpool to interning at an NGO in the Limpopo Province of South Africa – each experience giving students the opportunity to connect their coursework with real-world business scenarios.
By making a gift to support KISI, you are equipping us to provide more career-driven, socially responsible opportunities such as:
KISI is the embodiment of what we hope Kelley students represent: tenacity, humility, and perseverance. One participant said, “KISI students want to make a positive impact. We are down-to-earth, open-minded, and humble. We want to do something bigger than ourselves.”
Many of these experiences require our students to pay out of pocket for program fees or travel expenses. For a student who wants to spend their summer focusing on economic development in an under-resourced community abroad, we want to be able to provide that experience with minimal financial barriers. Your gift to KISI can help subsidize internship costs for students or support one of our other unique set of programs that build momentum for positive social change.
Making a gift to KISI not only helps Indiana University, it’s helping the Bloomington community, the nation, and the globe. Thank you for your consideration.
