More Info

Because no one can anticipate what exciting opportunities may arise, the Dean's Fund provides the Jacobs School of Music with the flexibility to respond at a moment's notice.  Donors to the Dean's Fund give the school the extraordinary power to seize breakthrough opportunities as they emerge, delivering support when it is most needed.

This year, up to $100,000 of alumni gifts will be matched one-to-one! This generous matching incentive is part of David Jacobs' $20 million commitment to the Jacobs School of Music in support of the IU bicentennial campaign. - Alumni, why not make a gift today and double the impact of your gift?

What amazing opportunities might your gift help fund?

Recent activities the Dean's Fund has supported include:

  • Sending the Indiana University Wind Ensemble on a once-in-a-lifetime trip to perform in New York's legendary Carnegie Hall.
  • Providing free Classically Trained Fitness and Wellness classes to Jacobs' School of Music students to help them discover ways to make themselves the fittest and healthiest musicians out there.
  • Advancing educational opportunities through student travel including a visit to Beethoven-Haus in Bonn, Germany.
  • Student performances at the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts in Washington, D.C.
  • Student scholarships... and so much more!
