Your support will enable IU Cinema to strengthen and sustain its commitment to being a pre-eminent place for unique and authentic cinematic experiences for all who are inspired by great stories.
Indiana University Cinema is a creative space and public arena for artistic dialogue, screening more than 200 film titles each academic year, hosting dozens of filmmakers and scholars, and providing unparalleled opportunities for students, faculty, and community residents to experience authentic and unique cinematic experiences.
With screenings almost daily, our patrons are exposed each week to remarkable films and filmmakers from across the globe. Since opening in January 2011, we have hosted some of the most influential artists in filmmaking, including Werner Herzog, Meryl Streep, Kevin Kline, John Waters, Julie Dash, Albert Maysles, Peter Bogdanovich, Ava DuVernay, Abbas Kiarostami, Glenn Close, Peter Weir, and Claire Denis.
Together, with our programming partners and generous supporters, we are advancing Indiana University’s longstanding commitment to excellence, research, and public engagement in the arts for future generations by creating a place for discovery and innovation, a place for premieres and partnerships, and a place for scholarly initiatives and community involvement.
As we continue to build upon the rich artistic legacy of Indiana University, we look forward to bringing to life an even greater wealth of enriching, educational, and engaging programs.
We hope you will join us today in lighting up the screen and help us make extraordinary film experiences accessible to all through your support of IU Cinema.
